Another wonderful creation. I've never seen a piece of apparel referred to as a shop jacket. Was this something a craftsman would wear in the shop, or is an item that a shopkeeper might wear instead of
a wool suit jacket. I'd like to know more. Regards, Bill in NY

hi Bill, the latter; a workwear jacket worn by shopkeepers and also by stewards, delivery men etc. sometimes they have contrasting cuffs and collars.

cheers,
Laurence
