VINTAGE SUITS FOR SALE

US mid 1930s action back suit, in dark grey worsted twill weave, mid-weight fabric with subtle overcheck. This fabric is sometimes referred to as 'Granite cloth' in the US.

Not in great condition with issues including; unravelled buttonholes on jacket, torn lining to waistcoat, moth nip to jacket lapel and trouser seat, wear to jacket collar etc.

However, could be very much of interest to a maker / designer interested in the tailoring mechanics of a proper expanding 'action pleat' jacket which works perfectly and is one of the best examples I've seen.

Trousers currently have no turn-up and have approx 2" extra in the hem (see last photo)

-pit to pit: 19.75"
-shoulder to shoulder: 17"
-outer sleeve: 23.5"
-back length (nape of neck to hem): 28.25"

-waistcoat pit to pit: 19"
-waistcoat back length: 18.25"

-half waist: 15.5" (31" total)
-front rise: 12.5"
-inseam: 30.5"
